Job Description

We are looking for a Cost Estimator for Furniture Manufacturing Company with extensive knowledge of furniture fit outs. In this role, you will be responsible for providing detailed budget estimates for interior fit outs, as well as loose furniture and daily furniture items, including beds, sofas, tables, chairs, side cabinets, nightstands, hotel suite beds, dressing tables, bedside tables, luggage cabinets, TV cabinets, wardrobes, lounge chairs, coffee tables, and more.

This is a full-time position based in Sharjah, UAE.

We are only considering candidates who have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Furniture manufacturing company and are currently residing in the UAE.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide complete quantity take-offs, analyses, estimates, and studies for all deliverables associated with the assigned scope of furniture.
2. Calculate the costs of materials and labor required to complete projects.
3. Conduct estimation and cost control activities to ensure projects remain within budget.
4. Identify cost-efficient alternatives to the proposed project scope.
5. Maintain a supplier/subcontractor database while consistently seeking new companies to pre-qualify for inclusion on the tender list.

Desired Candidate Profile

Skills & Requirements:

1. A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, or equivalent work experience.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimation and costing within a furniture manufacturing company, at least 3 years of experience in the UAE is preferred.
3. High proficiency in numeracy and strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
4. Ability to read and comprehend CAD drawings.
5. Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
7. Good interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing abilities.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
