As a Cost Controller specializing in Energy, you will be responsible for managing and controlling costs associated with energy consumption, production, and distribution within the organization. You will analyze energy usage data, monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize energy efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze energy consumption patterns, trends, and costs across facilities and operations.
Develop and maintain budgets for energy-related expenses, including electricity, natural gas, fuel, and other utilities.
Track energy invoices, utility rates, and tariffs to ensure accuracy and identify billing discrepancies.
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual energy costs against budgeted amounts and forecast future expenditures.
Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption and costs through efficiency improvements, technology upgrades, and operational changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement energy conservation measures and sustainability initiatives.
Evaluate the financial feasibility of energy projects and investments, including return on investment (ROI) analysis and payback periods.
Provide regular reports and presentations to management on energy performance, cost savings, and project outcomes.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to energy management and cost control.
Liaise with external vendors, utility companies, and regulatory agencies as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or certification in Energy Management is a plus.
2 years of experience in cost control, financial analysis, or energy management, preferably in the energy sector or related industries.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
Knowledge of energy markets, utility tariffs, and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with energy management systems (EMS), energy monitoring software, and metering technologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software applications.
