Job description

Job Title: Cost Controller (FMCG)

Location: Aseer Time Al Kuwait Restaurant, Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities:

  1. Good knowledge of recipe costing and cost analysis.
  2. Proficient in the usage of inventory systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  3. Strong analytical skills with attention to details.
  4. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Work in conjunction with all department heads to ensure maximum profitability.
  6. Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections.
  7. Assess all incoming products, resources, and services to ensure the best price.
  8. Maintain vendor and service provider relationships.
  9. Remain acutely aware of market trends that could impact resource costs.
  10. Keep up to date on new vendors and possible cost-cutting partnerships.
  11. Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost.
  12. Collaborate with department heads to strategize ways to minimize waste.
  13. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the interdependency of cost drivers.
  14. Understand the entire arc of the business and how productivity impacts profitability.
  15. Commit to maximizing efficiency at all levels without compromising quality.
  16. Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures.
  17. Present new strategies and assessments to stakeholders in a compelling fashion.
  18. Educate and persuade stakeholders to procure buy-in and cooperation.
  19. Roll out clear cost-saving programs with timelines and assessment goals.
  20. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors. Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers to ensure the best possible value for the company.
  21. Monitor inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of products.
  22. Develop and maintain inventory management systems to prevent overstocking and stockouts.
  23. Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals and budgetary constraints.
  24. Forecast demand and plan procurement activities accordingly.
  25. Ensure that all purchased food and beverage items meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  26. Address any issues related to product quality and compliance.
  27. Manage the procurement budget and track expenses.
  28. Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality.
  29. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  30. Resolve any issues related to supply chain disruptions, discrepancies, or disputes.
  31. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and inventory levels.
  32. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  33. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
