Taking overall responsibility and to lead effectively the cost control function on the project. Implementing policies, guidelines to establish appropriate cost control practices for the company.
Manages and oversees project controls for engineering and construction projects.
Preparation and maintenance of accurate schedules, compliant estimates, budgets for the project, maintain project cost and work, fund management & reporting.
Manages project controls personnel. Establishes operating policies to mitigate risk.
Responsible for project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring, and quality review.
Setting up cost control procedures and cost breakdowns for follow up and control.
Monitoring progress for the purpose of payment certificates preparation, record running costs, compare to budget Project cost control and accounting.
Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
Develops or coordinates preparation of budgets, program narratives and finance plans; analyzes financial projections and assists managers/directors/vice presidents in developing budget proposals.
Collaborates with auditors and accountants to develop and maintain internal controls for compliance with state and internal audit standards. Provides information to internal/external auditors and management as requested.
Keep employees constantly aware of issues of cost and quality, reminding them periodically that conscientious cost control can help ensure the continued success of the business.
Supports modeling financial and business impacts. Assists in the development, implementation and management of financial systems, cost accounting systems and/or financial policies and procedures as appropriate.
Provides guidance and consultation for project managers.
Forecasts and report to management on a regular basis.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Course or related field.
Must have strong built and good communication skills.
knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
Ability to effectively respond to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints.
Able to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple activities.
