Job Description

Deliver thorough, independent, and complete cost forecast for projects.

1. Collect all relevant/needed information from:
   1. Production estimator
   2. Design engineer
   3. Project manager
   4. Site visits
2. Process all gathered data and forecast the optimal budget, including:
   1. Planning
   2. Work sequencing
3. Regularly consult with colleagues from the commercial department and the project manager about cost.
4. Come up with creative and innovative ideas/alternatives to ensure a competitive forecast project cost estimation and efficient work plan.
5. Assess proposals and prices of subcontractors and suppliers.
6. Ensure gathered data and project budget information is maintained and knowledge is transferred to project management and commercial department.
7. Assist in preparing RFQ documents for project forecast purposes.
8. Ensure maintenance of database containing prices/quotes from subcontractors.
9. Closely collaborate with:
   1. Production estimator
   2. Colleagues from the project department
   3. Project manager
10. Study and analyze bids technically and commercially, and write scope clarification.
11. Identify risks, opportunities, and assumptions made within the cost estimates.
12. Have technical skills with thorough knowledge of estimation principles.
