Cost Accountant

Summary: Cost Controller oversees the day-to-day activities in the finance team and ensures the finance function is organized ensuring cost control and efficiency across the company.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Ensure all financial data is well documented within the department and all records are accurate and up-to-date.
2. Develop and implement long-term financial strategies to support the company’s growth and operational objectives.
3. Provide strategic guidance on key financial decisions, including pricing strategies and cost control measures to improve profitability.
4. Ensure that appropriate reporting, accounting systems, and internal control procedures are in place to enable effective financial management of the business.
5. Finalize the monthly reporting pack with the highest level of accuracy, present to the CEO.
6. Conduct variance analyses, identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
7. Conduct periodic reviews of balance sheet accounts to ensure there are no misstatements.
8. Ensure accurate and consistent reporting of all capital expenditure within the business.
9. Monitor cash flows and anticipate liquidity requirements.
10. Analyse monthly profit and loss and balance sheet, providing qualitative insight to management.
11. Work closely with other departments, including finance, operations, and HR, to ensure that cost control measures are followed effectively.

Requirements:

1. 4-5 Years Proven work experience in Cost Control or a similar role. (UAE or home country experience)
2. Proficiency in accounting software or financial tools (e.g., SAP, Tally, or Excel).
3. Degree in Accounting and well-versed with IFRS.
4. Experience in the automobile industry is a plus.
