Overview of the role

The Controlling Analyst I2P is required to coordinate and liaise with internal and external parties to facilitate transaction-related clarifications. Additionally, the individual is required to initiate and participate in continuous process improvement initiatives within the function.

The Jobholder will support in performing activities on the Procure to Pay process:

  • Month End Reconciliations
  • Travel and Expenses

What you will do

Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

Invoice processing for foreign trade, local trade, non-trade

  • Validate, approve, and post invoices
  • Manage exceptions follow-up
  • Generate payment file
  • Verify payments processed
  • Record and reverse accrual
  • Support invoice inquiries
  • Close accounts payable

Vendor master data management and maintenance

Month end reconciliations

  • Perform and review month-end reconciliations relating to Accounts payable

Travel and expenses / staff claim

  • Validate claims and supporting documents
  • Post claims
  • Perform clearing
  • Manage exception follow-up
  • Perform settlement clearing against bank payment

Reporting and other general duties

  • Operate the shared service ticketing and other platforms to create, monitor and manage ticket handling for service requests submitted to the APSSC for completion
  • Generate reports such as aging report and support audit activities
  • Participate in service improvement initiatives

What equips you for the role

Minimum Qualification and Knowledge

Education: Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business (or any other related fields)

  • Knowledge in IFRS / MFRS / other local regulations
  • Audit background is preferred
  • Certified Chartered Accountant is preferred

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in finance-related functions

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national organization
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Able to adapt to a fast-changing environment
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
