Contracts Manager (Buildings - Construction Services)

Stantec is currently looking for a Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team and support on a construction supervision project in Abu Dhabi.

Some of the key job responsibilities of this role entail the following:

1. Administration of the main contract in line with project requirements, compliance with contract notification, certification, and response timeframes, tracking changes and monitoring each change through a change order process.
2. Analyzing the basis and extent of change, tracking claims and monitoring progress through the claims resolution process.
3. Analyzing claims and identifying merit/validity if any, managing disputes, managing commercial interface/reporting with client and other parties, and performing analysis and valuations of work done.
4. Development of compliance and payment certification protocols, and preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
5. Liaison with the project management team to resolve all contract issues and facilitate negotiation of client contract terms and conditions.
6. Act as liaison between operations to provide client contract management and guidance on resolution of contract issues.
7. Ensure that the project is running in accordance with the program and on budget. Implement risk management processes, review risk register and check risk controls. Produce and analyze progress reports, update costs and forecasts.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
2. Minimum 15 years of work experience in all aspects of contract management.
3. Professional accreditation with a recognized international institute.
4. Experience should include managing contracts and claims.
5. Ability to handle a heavy workload, and to work effectively within a team.
6. Ability to work autonomously, while reviewing work on a regular basis to consistently meet objectives.
7. Proficiency in MS Office Software (MS Excel, Word).
8. Fluency in English and a high degree of numeracy and literacy.
9. Experience with Mega Projects.
10. Buildings experience.
11. Construction supervision experience.
