Contracts Manager
Job description
Responsibilities
- Support Business Development by reviewing draft contracts and providing guidance on suitable forms of contracts.
- Engage with Finance and Compliance / HSSE to ensure proper assessment of contractual obligations.
- Provide guidance on contractual and legal matters during the post-contract phase.
- Monitor and manage contractual and legal requirements.
- Participate in contractual meetings with third parties, including clients and sub-contractors.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify potential claims and propose strategies to mitigate them.
- Compile and review changes for client approval and assist project teams with change requests from sub-contractors.
- Supervise contracts personnel across projects and provide necessary training.
- Develop and maintain procedures for contracts management and administration.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal / external audits.
Qualification
- At least 12-15 years of experience in Contract Management, preferably in procurement, commercial, project management, or Oil & Gas services.
- At least 5 years of managerial experience.
- Legal LLB and / or Degree in Quantity Surveyor / Law / Business / Contracts or related studies.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience in Contract Law.
- Proven experience in contract negotiations and vendor management.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and dispute resolution skills.
- Analytical, decisive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- English language proficiency is mandatory.
