Contract - Team Lead and Subject Matter Expert in MS SharePoint and Power Platform Solutions

Job Description:

Our client, a reputable and fast-growing consulting services company located in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking an experienced Microsoft SharePoint and Power Platform Team Lead and Subject Matter Expert on a contract basis. The initial contract is planned to be one year with the possibility to be extended further. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft SharePoint and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to design, implement, and maintain solutions that optimize document management, document collaboration, and business processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions (and implement, test, deploy, and support these solutions) while ensuring the seamless integration of these platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement SharePoint solutions to support business requirements including document management, collaboration sites, and workflow automation.
• Leverage Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) to create customized business applications, automate workflows, and deliver actionable insights.
• Lead the creation and deployment of automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
• Build custom Power Apps solutions that meet business needs and enhance user experiences.
• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for data visualization and business intelligence.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal teams and stakeholders in implementing SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
• Plan and manage activities of more junior team members of the IT team involved in MS SharePoint and MS Power Platform design, build, and integration.
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals.
• Participate in the development of relevant training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users to maximize the adoption of SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Stay up-to-date with new features and best practices for MS SharePoint and MS Power Platform.

Qualifications:

• At least 7 (seven) or more years of experience in Microsoft SharePoint (on-premises and online) development, configuration, and administration.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint Designer for building custom workflows and solutions.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for SharePoint and Power Platform management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and integration with SharePoint and Power Platform.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Experience in creating and managing security policies, user permissions, and access control within SharePoint.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work in an agile environment.
• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate or Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Server Specialist are an additional advantage.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Teams integration with SharePoint and Power Platform.
• Familiarity with Azure services including Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
• Experience with data connectors and APIs in Power Platform solutions.
