The role?
We are hiring a Contract Support Engineer on a permanent basis to join the team based in Ruwais, UAE.
The Contract Support Engineer will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing all activities related to the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of Electric Overhead Travelling (EOT) cranes within the Contract. The role involves close collaboration with Site Supervisors, clients, and field staff to ensure project objectives are met within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
- Serve as the primary contact for Client Contract Administration and Field Personnel to address and resolve any issues that may arise in the field.
- Prepare documentation and reports that encompass all elements of the HSE Assurance Program.
- Focal point for all maintenance, coordination, Daily/Weekly report writings, troubleshooting, etc.
- Deliver comprehensive technical assistance to address and resolve any issues or challenges encountered on-site.
- Oversee on-site resources, including personnel, vehicles, and equipment, to guarantee the seamless execution of the contract.
- Develop detailed project maintenance schedules and resource allocation for EOT crane Preventive maintenance and servicing.
- Prepare Implementation Work Packs, including risk assessments, procedures, and implementation project plans.
- Knowledgeable about contractual terms and ensuring the contract is executed according to the agreement.
- Co-ordinate and manage procurement and inspections/tests at subcontractor's facilities for onshore refurbishments.
- Ensure that all maintenance and technical documentation is completed correctly.
Minimum Requirements
- Hold as a minimum a 3 Years' Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).
- Have relevant oil & gas onshore EOT and lifting-related experience of not less than 5 years in the same area of application.
- Operational use and awareness of Lifting Equipment Regulations, and all relevant client Codes/Standards for Inspection and Certification requirements.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- English Proficiency in Verbal and Written Communication & Intermediate Level.
