Pay Rate: $14 USD per hour.

The Role

Here at Twinkl, we are currently looking for an Arabic content writer & editor to join our Twinkl UAE team and create exceptional resources. You'll be writing a variety of educational Arabic resources covering topics such as social and parenting, activities, core curriculum, and event-specific content in order to help teachers teach, aligned to International and the UAE curriculum. We are looking for a creative, innovative, cooperative content writer/editor to join our team and collaborate on making incredible Arabic content for our website.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about creating educational resources and giving back to the education community, and keen to share their expertise with others in their team. To succeed in this role, you must be confident in your level of Arabic writing skills, following correct Arabic grammar rules. As a team, we aim to add new creative ideas and engaging resources to improve our Arabic content on our website.

In your role as a writer/editor, you will focus on quality when writing content and help ensure that the content of our resources is accurate and well written, helping us to deliver high-quality Arabic materials to children around the world.

As part of the Twinkl UAE team, you will communicate with other team members and attend weekly meetings to stay updated on the progress of our work. You will be part of an agile team that communicates via email, messaging, and video meetings. To fulfill this role, you will need to provide your own technology and have reliable high-speed internet access.

The content you write will be turned into professional Twinkl products by our highly skilled design and illustration team.

How You'll Spend Your Day

• Helping in the research/ideation stage to create new resources in order to grow the Arabic product library on the Twinkl website, considering age groups, different genres, popular topics, and representing diversity;
• Creating Arabic resources, meeting, working, and communicating with other team members of designers and illustrators to ensure the highest quality.
• Researching Arabic educational resource trends and ideas to make sure your assigned resources will be instant hits with our millions of global members.

You'll Work With

• Sara Al-Aswad (UAE Country Manager) - Sara leads the Twinkl UAE team and is responsible for managing the overall day-to-day running, leading marketing, strategic planning, and ensuring the UAE team's continued growth & success.
• Sarah Macaskill (UAE Team Leader) - Sarah leads the Twinkl UAE production team and is responsible for ensuring effective production of Arabic & English resources, managing updates, supporting content writers/editors, illustrators, and graphic designers in getting the highest quality resources out to our community each month.
• Other Twinkl UAE team members - The team consists of other English & Arabic Content Writers/Editors, designers, and an illustrator. We all work together in harmony towards one message: providing the highest quality Arabic & English content to help all those who teach in the UAE.

We are especially interested in anyone who also meets the following:

• Has experience writing Arabic educational resources
• Has an excellent understanding of Arabic and excellent spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
• Qualifications: Hold a bachelor's university degree in education.
• Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
• Is creative, accurate, always brings new ideas to the table, and is able to be a team player.
