Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for the creation of content across all channels including but not limited to newsletters, homepages, SMS, push notifications, and press releases. To ensure the tone of voice for each brand within the portfolio is adhered to and the delivery of rich content is on-brand, on-time, and as per briefed.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in the Style Guide and Tone of Voice development across all retail brand portfolios.
- Update glossary input and translation repository enhancements.
- Deliver copy across all consumer channels, including website, CRM, social, retail, and paid media, ensuring messaging is aligned and on-brand.
- Collaborate with in-house creatives to develop digital and offline content to ensure consistency between visual and written creative.
- Upload content via content management system (CMS).
- Regularly test and proof digital content across emailers, homepages, SMS.
- Analyze industry best practices with knowledge of SEO.
- Support cross-functional teams and site operations teams by responding to ad-hoc copy requests.
- Proactively engage with people across departments and follow up on deliverables from others without hesitation.
- Assist the Senior Content Editor and work collaboratively with other stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Education/Certification and Continued Education:
Degree in Foreign Languages, Marketing, Communication, or a similar field.
Years of Experience:
4+ years of experience as a copywriter, content editor, and/or language specialist.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong fluency in English.
- Familiarity with UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, or Lebanese dialects (if required).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate.
- Experience in English with an engaging, accurate, and adaptable writing style, with impeccable grammar.
- Keen to learn about SEO and optimizing content.
- Experience with localization projects for e-commerce websites, preferably in luxury fashion retail.
- Experience within luxury retail, with a sound knowledge of luxury fashion, designers, brands, culture, and trends for MENA demographics.
- Competent using different content management systems (CMS).
- Good understanding of garment and accessory construction.
- Sound knowledge of national and international men’s and women’s fashion, designers, brands, and trends.
- Able to work under pressure and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Excel and Google Docs and comfortable with digital work on an in-house CMS.
- Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and be highly self-motivated and passionate about our brand and our clients.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience working in an E-Commerce environment.

- Proofreading: Review content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors. Ensure that the text flows smoothly and reads well.
- Editing for style and tone: Ensure that the content adheres to the desired style, tone, and voice. This includes making adjustments for clarity, readability, and engagement.
- Fact-checking: Verify facts, statistics, and sources to ensure the content is accurate and credible.
- Improving structure: Edit content to ensure logical flow, coherence, and organization. This may involve restructuring sentences, paragraphs, or sections for clarity.
- Ensuring consistency: Ensure consistency in writing style, formatting, and terminology, especially when multiple writers contribute to a publication or website.
2. Content Optimization
- SEO optimization: Edit content to ensure it includes relevant keywords and follows best practices for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). This includes adjusting headlines, subheadings, and keyword placement.
- Formatting and layout: Adjust content to fit specific formatting guidelines, including using bullet points, headings, subheadings, and other visual elements to improve readability.
- Tailoring content to the audience: Ensure that the content resonates with the target audience, considering their interests, preferences, and needs.
3. Collaboration with Writers and Teams
- Collaborate with writers: Work closely with writers to provide feedback on drafts, suggesting revisions and improvements.
- Coordinate with other departments: Collaborate with other teams such as marketing, design, and social media to ensure that content is aligned with overall marketing strategies and goals.
- Manage deadlines: Ensure that content is completed on time and that the editing process stays on schedule. This may involve working with a content calendar and keeping track of editorial deadlines.
4. Content Strategy and Planning
- Content planning: Assist in planning and developing content strategies, helping to align editorial goals with the brand's marketing and communication objectives.
- Content calendar management: Help maintain an editorial calendar to ensure a steady stream of content and that deadlines are met.
- Quality assurance: Ensure that the final content meets the brand’s standards and expectations before publication.
