Global Payments Solutions (GPS) is a core contributor to HSBC supporting Corporate and Institutional customers across all segments. The Content and Proposal Manager role is based in Dubai, UAE within the Global Payment Solutions (GPS) business. This role supports regional GPS Sales Managers in their pursuit of new business through creation and project management of bids/proposals, pitch presentations and other sales enablement materials. It also supports other B2B content initiatives such as authoring award submissions, client case studies, thought leadership and campaign collateral.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop compelling, compliant and persuasive proposals for our clients. You'll work closely with the sales, product and client management teams to create well-structured, client-specific proposals. You'll apply your transaction banking expertise, strong written communication skills and attention to detail to effectively communicate the value proposition of our GPS franchise and solutions, playing a crucial role in securing new business.

In this role, you will:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Client Management teams to gather information, understand client needs, architect solutions and identify key selling points and win themes.
  2. Develop comprehensive, well-organised and persuasive proposals tailored to target audiences.
  3. Write and edit proposal sections, diagrams, executive summaries, and cover letters to effectively communicate the value proposition and to address client needs and pain points.
  4. Support deals across the sales cycle, from RFI or proactive proposal to the best & final pitch and post-mortem discussions.
  5. Manage the full cycle proposal development process, including qualification, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination.
  6. Coordinate and review inputs from subject matter experts, ensuring alignment with proposal objectives.
  7. Edit and format proposals to ensure a professional and polished final product that is accurate, captivating and of the highest quality, under tight deadlines.
  8. Ensure adherence to process, procedure and risk standards in GPS sales content, serving as a point of quality and audit control.
  9. Create best practices in proposal content and sales enablement materials.
  10. Work with Product SME's to develop new and improve existing customer facing documentation.
  11. Manage and organise proposal content, templates, and reference materials methodologically on an ongoing basis to ensure both legitimacy and compliance of content is continually maintained.
  12. Research and analyse market trends and industry best practices to support proposal and content development.
  13. Elevate the quality of sales enablement content such as client case studies, market information, thought leadership materials, developing both original content, as well as tailoring past examples to suit new client requirements and market trends.
  14. Elevate GPS's profile in the market and internally through creating and project managing bank/client industry award submissions and case studies.
  15. Become a go-to expert for all things relating to GPS bid and content management and carry these learnings across the deals you work on and the deal teams you work with.

Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
  1. A background in Financial Services with awareness of payment solutions and digital trends.
  2. Applicable professional qualification in Treasury (e.g. ACT CertICM, AFP CTP) or Bid Management (e.g. APMP) would be an advantage.
  3. An understanding of cash management and/or transactional banking products/solutions.
  4. Experience in proposal writing and sales content development is an advantage.
  5. Experience in corporate banking or a B2B presales environment is highly desirable.
  6. Content marketing experience and B2B comms experience is highly valued.
  7. Fluent English and strong written communication skills is essential.
  8. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create strong content, presentations and explain value propositions in a clear and concise manner.
  10. Exceptional project management skills with proven success in delivering projects/programs, across countries and territories, whether regional (i.e. MENAT) or global in scope, with meticulous attention to detail.
  11. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to work under tight deadlines and support multiple stakeholders and proposals concurrently.
  12. Willingness to learn and ability to work in a rapidly changing technical environment.
  13. Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver creative and customer-centric solutions.
  14. Graduation Degree is a must - to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
