Consultant Specialist Acute Medicine Doctor

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients presenting with acute medical conditions in a timely manner
• Conduct thorough physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results
• Make accurate and prompt diagnoses based on patient history, physical findings, and test results
• Perform procedures such as central line insertions, lumbar punctures, and chest tube placements
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
• Provide effective communication and education to patients and their families throughout the treatment process
• Stay updated on advancements in acute medicine and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  

Requirements

• Medical degree and valid license as an Acute Medicine Doctor
• Completion of a residency program in Acute Medicine
• Proven experience in diagnosing and managing acute medical conditions
• Strong knowledge of acute medicine principles and best practices
• Proficiency in performing common acute care procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple cases
• Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team
