Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Consultant Pediatric Anesthetist to join our client's team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthetic care to pediatric patients, from newborns to adolescents. This individual will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia services. The Consultant Pediatric Anesthetist will also be expected to provide clinical supervision and training to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures, including emergency surgeries.
• Evaluate and monitor preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient conditions to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Develop and implement anesthetic care plans for individual patients, taking into consideration their age, medical history, and specific needs.
• Oversee the use of anesthesia equipment and medications, ensuring their proper functioning and safety.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals to provide a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance the safety and efficiency of anesthesia services.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior staff, including residents and nurse anesthetists.

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia from a recognized institution
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Pediatric Anesthetist in a reputable hospital
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Team player with a positive and collaborative attitude
• Must be Western-trained
