Position: Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon (American/Canadian Board) with Rehabilitation Experience

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with American or Canadian board certification and rehabilitation experience to join our growing team.


Job Summary:

As a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with rehabilitation experience, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care and treatment to patients with musculoskeletal injuries, conditions, and disorders. You will work closely with patients throughout the entire treatment process, from initial diagnosis to rehabilitation and follow-up care. You will also serve as a mentor and educator to other healthcare professionals and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnostic testing to determine the cause and extent of patients' orthopedic conditions.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the patient's specific needs and medical history.
  3. Perform surgical procedures to correct musculoskeletal injuries, deformities, and disorders, utilizing the most advanced surgical techniques and tools.
  4. Monitor patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery and rehabilitation.
  5. Provide comprehensive follow-up care and education to patients to promote long-term health and wellness.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and nurses, to develop and implement total patient care plans.
  7. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  8. Mentor and educate other healthcare professionals, including medical students, residents, and fellows, on the latest advances and best practices in orthopedic surgery.

Qualifications:

  1. Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
  2. Board certification in orthopedic surgery from either the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
  3. Current, unrestricted medical license in the state or province of practice.
  4. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon, with a focus on rehabilitation.
  5. Strong knowledge of the latest advances and best practices in orthopedic surgery, including surgical techniques and tools.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  7. Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  8. Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
  9. Availability to work on a full-time basis, including on-call and weekend duties as required.
