Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Neonatologist to join our prestigious client's healthcare team. As a Neonatologist, you will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and newborn nursery. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat newborns with various medical conditions in the NICU and newborn nursery.
Develop and implement treatment plans for premature or critically ill infants.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, respiratory therapists, and social workers to provide comprehensive care to infants and their families.
Perform procedures such as intubations, central line placements, and lumbar punctures.
Monitor and document the progress of infants and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Educate parents and family members on the care of their newborn and provide emotional support.
Assist with deliveries and provide resuscitation and stabilization for high-risk newborns.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research studies related to neonatal care.
Keep up-to-date with advancements and best practices in neonatology through continuing education and professional development activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Neonatology.
State medical license and DEA registration.
Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of neonatal care practices and procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards infants and their families.
Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call as needed.
