Position Summary

Being one of the clinical roles within the Clinical Services of the hospital, the position will require a person who has practiced for at least 5 years after a post highest education qualifications and who has had international healthcare and academic experience. It is a pivotal role in the establishment of services at the hospital to ensure services are at an International standard and to meet and exceed accreditation standards. The Doctor should obtain the appropriate evaluation/License.

Summary of Main Duties

1. Provide clinically appropriate interpretation and reporting on tests.
2. Ensure reports are released on a continuing and timely basis.
3. Work and communicate effectively with other team members to mutually agreed work schedules.
4. Facilitate access to tests and provide timely reporting that facilitates efficient patient flows and meets treatment objectives.
5. Utilise resources (investigations options, staff resources and session time) in an optimal way for effective patient care.
6. Adhere to the protocols, guidelines and practice standards pertaining to the area of clinical practice.
7. Attend and actively participate in clinical departmental meetings.
8. Liaising with Non-clinical/Clinical staff.
9. Obtaining patients informed consent or applicable.
10. Maintaining a good working relationship and professional conduct with all members of the staff and hospital staff.
11. Providing on call coverage on a rotational basis during evenings, nights, weekends, and Public Holidays, as required.
12. Participating in medical staff conferences, meetings and serve on hospital Committees, as requested.
13. Assuming other duties as may be assigned by the department head.
14. Carrying out the duties and responsibilities detailed in any department specific job description or statement of roles and responsibilities.
15. Participation in administration and compliance with JCI procedures and regulatory requirements.
16. Encourage multi-disciplinary teamwork.
17. Disseminate and implement hospital’s policies & procedures.
18. Participate in Quality improvement activities meeting JCI & regulatory requirements.
19. Implementing clinical pathway/Guideline or applicable.

1. American Specialty Board or equivalent in accordance with MOH Table of Equivalency.
2. 5 years clinical experience post certification in the appropriate specialty, in an active, acute care accredited institution or equivalent.

1. BLS Certificate.
2. ACLS Certificate.
