Consultant Hand Surgeon

We are currently in search of a highly qualified Consultant Hand Surgeon to join our professional network. In this role, you will provide expert surgical and non-surgical care for patients with complex hand and upper extremity conditions.

The Consultant Hand Surgeon will engage in comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and perform advanced surgical procedures. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and will be responsible for mentoring and guiding junior staff and surgical trainees.

Responsibilities:

1. Assess and diagnose hand and upper extremity conditions in patients.
2. Develop tailored treatment plans for surgical and non-surgical interventions.
3. Execute a range of surgical procedures including reconstruction, trauma repairs, and microvascular surgery.
4. Provide postoperative care and follow-up to ensure recovery and rehabilitation.
5. Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver cohesive patient care.
6. Participate in research and contribute to advancements in hand surgery practices.

Requirements:

1. Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and a valid medical license.
2. Completion of a residency program in Orthopedic Surgery.
3. Fellowship training in Hand Surgery is mandatory.
4. A minimum of 5 years of experience in hand surgery practice.
5. Strong surgical skills with proficiency in various hand procedures.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
7. Commitment to continual education and staying updated with advancements in hand surgery.
8. Ability to manage complex caseloads and prioritize tasks effectively.
