A prestigious hospital in the UAE is seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Critical Care Medicine to join our team. The role involves comprehensive management of critically ill patients, including organ system support, diagnosis, treatment of acute illnesses, patient safety, and end-of-life care. The successful candidate will also provide guidance and support to families and contribute to systems management and ethical practices.
As a specialist in Intensive Care Medicine, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of critical conditions, supported by a team of highly trained professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough examinations of patients admitted to the ICU, Emergency Room (ER), or other designated clinical areas.
Order and interpret diagnostic investigations under the guidance of the Department Head or Coordinator.
Maintain comprehensive documentation, including patient history sheets, medical legal case forms, and other required records, as per hospital protocols.
Facilitate consultations and referrals to specialists and consultants in alignment with clinical protocols and hospital policies.
Provide detailed written handovers at the beginning and end of each duty shift, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
Address and rectify clerical or administrative errors promptly, with readiness to respond to urgent hospital needs outside of scheduled shifts.
Prepare and update administrative documents and policies as directed by the Clinical Coordinator and hospital administration.
Train nurses, paramedics, and support staff in critical care protocols and procedures during duty hours and as directed by clinical administration.
Requirements:
Medical specialization degree in Critical Care Medicine.
5-10 years of post-specialization experience in Critical Care.
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional critical decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
