Construction Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets for construction projects
• Coordinate and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues or delays
• Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients
• Implement and maintain effective communication channels among all project participants
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors
• Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability guidelines in construction practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• 5-10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in the UAE
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in construction management software and digital tools for on-site data management
• Experience in contract administration and negotiation
• Solid understanding of project financial management and cost control
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
• Valid UAE work permit or eligibility to obtain one
