Stantec is currently looking for a Construction Manager with Healthcare experience to join our dynamic team and support on a construction supervision project in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the development, incorporation, and maintenance of project Health and Safety program.
  2. Maintain a strict level of compliance, appearance, and professionalism amongst Stantec’s safety engineers and encourage growth and improvement on project site level.
  3. Responsible for all Stantec’s construction execution and HSE supervision activities.
  4. Prepare necessary “Constructability” and “Build-ability” reviews.
  5. Assist the Project Manager in necessary project sequencing and phasing reviews.
  6. Attend weekly contractor’s site logistics, progress, and HSE meetings.
  7. Prepare Construction and HSE parts of Monthly Reports.
  8. Responsible for preparing preliminary handover report together with technical managers.
  9. Assist Project Manager and Commercial Manager with review of all claims, EOT’s and in all variations and changes from a Stantec perspective.
  10. Assist Project Manager with technical managers with the project handover and final walk through.
  11. Protect and ensure compliance of Stantec’s contractual and Authority requirements in terms of health, environment, and safety.
  12. Review and comment on construction documentation related to health, environment, and safety.
  13. Review and comment on site logistic plans and corresponding documentation.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 15 years’ experience managing construction of large buildings and working with reputable international consultants.
  2. Previous experience working with a Consultancy.
  3. Healthcare facility project delivery/construction experience preferred.
  4. Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines: Engineering or Construction from an internationally recognized university.
  5. Strong engineering and technical background.
  6. Understanding of site logistics and HSE.
  7. Must have integrity and be able to demonstrate both drive and excellent organizational ability.
  8. Ability to manage potential conflict robustly.
  9. Able to make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a proactive way.
  10. Ability to communicate and interact professionally with contractor’s site management and site engineers.
  11. Flexibility and adaptability to handle a variety of assigned tasks and workload.
