Construction Director

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement the overall construction strategy for multiple projects.
2. Lead and oversee all site operations ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to timelines.
3. Manage project budgets ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
4. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
5. Oversee contract negotiation, vendor selection, and procurement processes.
6. Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to optimize project execution.
7. Address and resolve construction challenges including delays, budget issues, and resource management.
8. Implement quality control measures to maintain construction excellence.
9. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.
10. Ensure adherence to local construction laws, permits, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in construction management with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
3. Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
5. Excellent project management, budgeting, and financial forecasting skills.
6. Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and stakeholder coordination.
7. Knowledge of construction software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or MS Project is preferred.
8. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
