Job Description

  • Assist in mergers and acquisitions by conducting due diligence and ensuring legal compliance throughout the process.
  • Advise on employment law matters, including workplace policies and employee relations disputes.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards and protect the company's interests.
  • Provide legal counsel on corporate governance issues, helping to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential legal liabilities.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, providing guidance on their implications for company operations.
  • Prepare legal documentation for regulatory filings and corporate governance matters, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve legal disputes and facilitate smooth business operations.
  • Represent the company in negotiations and legal proceedings, defending its interests effectively.
  • Train and educate staff on legal compliance and best practices to foster a culture of legal awareness.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is essential, with a strong understanding of corporate law.
  • Active membership in a recognized bar association, showcasing commitment to professional standards and ethics.
  • Experience in working with international legal frameworks is preferred, especially in multinational companies.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience in a corporate setting, demonstrating a solid grasp of business operations.
  • Proficiency in contract law and regulatory compliance, with the ability to navigate complex legal environments.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and a proven track record in successfully managing legal disputes.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to develop innovative legal solutions.
  • Fluency in English is required, with additional language skills in Spanish or Mandarin considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
