Guide the development and contribute to writing effective texts and language for diverse communications and marketing materials, following the department strategies and timelines. Texts include: promotional material (print and digital), newsletter and emailers, website texts (including ticketing and online shop), social media, speeches and statements, boiler plates, press material, news items, interview scripts.
Contribute to the development of engaging communications department texts highlighting Sharjah Art Foundation programmes, initiatives and events, and supporting the Foundation's mission and vision.
Provide briefing, feedback and guidance to other in-house writers in the Communications and Marketing department and occasionally to freelance writers.
Offer guidance and support to other communications team members to improve their writing skills.
Review and refine language of communications department reports and key presentations, to improve clarity, coherence, and alignment with Sharjah Art Foundation tone and editorial style.
Run any design and multimedia elements by the Design Team to maintain a consistent visual style and branding across the institution.
Run texts by the Editorial and Content Strategy team to maintain a consistent tone, language and format across the institution.
Stay updated on best practices and trends to improve communications texts and language quality and relevance.
Coordinate, publish, develop and offer ideas for the new Sharjah Art Foundation website.
Organise and maintain a schedule for fresh and relevant content, as well as aid and publish archival content according to the website plan, which will be developed collaboratively.
Understand what should be given priority on the homepage, aligning on the timeline, visuals, text, hierarchy and organisation of information.
Optimize web content for SEO and user experience, including keyword research and metadata optimization.
Monitor website analytics and create reports to identify opportunities for content improvement.
