Responsibilities
Food Preparation and Cooking
Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes across multiple cuisines, maintaining high-quality standards.
Ensure ingredients and cooking stations are well-prepared and organised prior to service.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications to deliver consistent results.
Kitchen Organisation and Cleanliness
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas, including food storage, preparation, and service areas.
Help with the proper storage and rotation of ingredients, minimising waste and ensuring freshness.
Support the kitchen team in daily cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient and safe.
Collaboration and Learning
Work closely with chefs and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal delivery.
Be open to learning and mastering new culinary techniques and trends across various cuisines.
Assist with special projects or tasks as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
Basic culinary knowledge and a desire to learn varied cooking techniques.
Culinary school training or certifications are a plus.
