Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items. Chop, slice, and dice vegetables, meats, and other food items. Measure and portion ingredients accurately. Marinate, season, and spice food items according to recipes.
Cooking: Operate cooking equipment on the food truck, such as grills, fryers, and ovens. Cook menu items to order, ensuring they are cooked to the appropriate temperature and consistency. Monitor cooking times and temperatures. Ensure food is presented attractively.
Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation and cooking areas. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines. Properly store and handle food items to prevent contamination. Dispose of waste and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of food and supplies. Notify management when ingredients need to be reordered. Rotate and restock items to minimize waste.
Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members, such as servers or cashiers, to ensure smooth operation of the food truck. Assist in other tasks as needed, including cleaning and maintenance of the food truck.
