Assist during the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the agreed and established standards.
Prepare and cook food to the highest standards to ascertain an efficient food service. Follow standard recipes and presentation of all dishes at all times.
Cleaning, peeling, cutting and carving of all food items according to the company’s standard during efficient food service.
Keep track of what supplies are used to aid in re-ordering supplies as necessary.
Maintain work area, ensuring that all items are appropriately cleaned and ready for use before and after each shift.
During food service, keep the station in working order and fully stocked.
Prepare items prior to a meal service, such as chopping vegetables, cutting, precooking and marinating meat, or cleaning seafood.
Ensure that the kitchen meets sanitation standards as set by the Senior Chef in addition to maintaining local Health Department regulations.
The appearance of the entire personnel reflects the reputation and image of the Company; therefore, a great deal of emphasis is placed on a professional appearance.
Ensure that all food items prepared and served are according to established standards and practices.
Minimize spoilages and utilize food surpluses.
Recommend changes in the Menus to the Senior Chef or Chef de Partie.
Maintain the highest standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
Awareness of all fire, safety and emergency procedures.
Available to work overtime, if requested depending on the volume of business.
Participate in any Training/Development schemes as recommended by Senior Management.
