Role Summary

The role of the Commis Chef is to consistently deliver the highest possible level of food & beverage quality and presentation. This individual will work closely with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures to ensure the safety of all products served to our guests.

Role Profile

  • Prepares the menu items using the recipes as per brand guidelines.
  • Understands skills required to produce menu items.
  • Keeps operating equipment and kitchen equipment clean and in good condition.
  • Ensures the proper storage and rotation of goods received following FIFO.
  • Takes an interest and involvement in the quality checking and knowledge of ingredients.
  • Ensures smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience as Commis Chef.
  • Previous hotel/5-star experience/cabin crew experience will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent English language verbal and written skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail while multi-tasking under pressure is essential.
  • Flexible working hours to include public holidays.
