Job description
Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure meal ingredients for your section, ensuring precision in every dish.
- Prepare meal ingredients, including seasoning, grilling, and marinating various meats.
- Follow instructions to prepare basic salads and sauces as directed by the Area Kitchen Manager.
- Receive deliveries, verify that all ordered items have been delivered in good condition, and take inventory of restaurant supplies.
- Notify the supervisor when supplies are low or depleted.
- Discard expired and spoiled food items stored in stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Perform basic cleaning duties and ensure workstations are properly sanitized to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Plate and present meal items according to the Area Kitchen Manager’s instructions, ensuring every dish meets our presentation standards.
What Are We Looking For?
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar position or a relevant culinary qualification.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
