The Company

Our client is a leading international construction consultancy firm with offices across the Middle East in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Employing more than 600 professional staff in the MENA region, they provide professional project management, cost consultancy, engineering and FM services to a mixture of both public and private sector clients.

We are seeking an experienced Post Contract Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to join a dynamic team working on high-profile residential and mixed-use developments for leading local developers in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee post-contract commercial management, ensuring project budgets are adhered to and controlled effectively.
2. Manage contract administration, including cost reporting, interim valuations, and final accounts.
3. Evaluate and negotiate variations, claims, and contractual disputes.
4. Prepare cost analysis, cash flow projections, and financial reporting for stakeholders.
5. Collaborate with project managers, developers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
6. Provide strategic advice to developers on cost and value optimization.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc QS) or a related field.
2. Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), with a strong focus on residential and mixed-use projects.
3. Proven track record in post-contract quantity surveying, preferably within consultancy environments.
4. Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other relevant contracts.
5. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Desirable:

1. Previous consultancy experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
2. UAE/GCC project experience is highly desirable.
