Al Marwan Heavy Machinery, established in 1978 in Sharjah, UAE, is a leading one-stop shop for heavy equipment rental and sales. Al Marwan offers an exclusive selection of brand-new heavy equipment, backed by dedicated authorized dealer support, and stands out in its comprehensive approach to machinery solutions, which includes rental services with certified operators, real-time telematics, and on-site maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

We are looking for a Commercial Manager who's an expert in spotting opportunities in buying, selling and real-time automated online bidding for heavy equipment, construction and industrial machinery. The ideal candidate should excel in building partnerships and act as a trusted advisor to customers. We expect the ideal candidate to utilize our data on demand, pricing, and various markets in order to gain a competitive edge in our sales approach. You should be capable of collaborating closely with clients to determine the best asset liquidation strategies, whether through online bidding, E-commerce, direct listings or a hybrid.

Responsibility:

  1. Be the single point of contact for all sales related issues.
  2. Supports and develops product sales, process effectiveness, overall growth as well as building, maintaining and updating a detailed policies and procedures manual.
  3. Identify geographic areas and sectors of opportunity.
  4. Develop and execute sales business plans and market share targets for the products offering.
  5. Oversee the automated online bidding business both on-site within the GCC region and globally through an e-commerce platform.
  6. Enhance and maintain a seamless and satisfactory customer experience.
  7. Contribute to Marketing plans and promotional campaigns.
  8. Ensure proper execution of sales strategies, train, develop and mentor team members.
  9. Strong understanding of CRM systems.

Qualifications

  1. 10+ years of proven experience in sales, having held multiple roles in both sales and technical fields within the machinery and auction sectors.
  2. Deep understanding of the machinery and real-time bidding industry, including trends, regulatory considerations, key players and the ability to leverage this knowledge effectively.
  3. Proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  4. Experienced in hunting new business opportunities and the sense to act on them.
  5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage sales teams effectively.
  6. An excellent communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  7. Extensive experience in contract management, with strong negotiation skills to successfully close deals while maintaining constructive and collaborative relationships.
  8. Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business opportunities for the organization's growth.
  9. Explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization.
  10. Comfortable with digital tools and platforms, especially those related to e-commerce and online auctions.
  11. A good knowledge of logistics and accounting principles.
  12. Ability to travel when required.
