Job description

As a member of Munich Re, the MedNet Group is a leading Third-Party Administrator across the MEA region. We are currently seeking to hire a Commerical Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving MedNet’s commercial success by leading business growth initiatives, managing insurer and broker relationships, and ensuring alignment with MedNet’s regional commercial strategy. This role is responsible for expanding market presence, optimizing client engagement, and leveraging MedNet’s partnership with Munich Re to unlock new business opportunities.

In addition to a strong business development focus, the role requires effective team leadership, overseeing both the Account Management and Broker Servicing teams to enhance client support and service efficiency. The Commercial Manager must balance strategic vision with operational excellence, ensuring seamless execution of commercial initiatives while maintaining high service standards. While the primary focus is on the UAE, the role also carries regional responsibilities, facilitating collaboration and best practice sharing across MedNet’s markets.

Your role:

  • Act as the key liaison with Munich Re, ensuring strategic collaboration and business growth opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with insurers, with a preferred focus on leveraging Munich Re as their reinsurance partner.
  • Strengthen engagement with top brokers to drive new business acquisition and revenue expansion.
  • Lead negotiations for key contracts and strategic partnerships to enhance MedNet’s market positioning.
  • Stay aligned with regional commercial strategies and ensure knowledge-sharing across markets.
  • Conduct market analysis to track industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
  • Work closely with MedNet’s regional teams to standardize best practices and optimize business approaches.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for insurers and brokers, ensuring strong relationship management.
  • Capture and analyze client feedback to enhance MedNet’s value proposition.
  • Drive retention strategies to secure renewals and optimize client satisfaction.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 7-10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of the health insurance ecosystem, including TPAs, insurers, brokers, and reinsurers.
  • Proven track record in building and managing high-value strategic relationships.
