Control, monitor and administer the contractual and commercial requirements and obligations arising out of projects in the Middle East (predominantly UAE)
Provide input, support, and advice to project team with the objective of minimizing financial cost, maximizing financial recovery, and limiting contractual and commercial exposure to dispute; and
Deal with, and resolve, problematic contractual issues and disputes whilst safeguarding the company’s interests.
The Candidate
Specific Experience
Deep understanding of FIDIC terms and their application.
Skilled at the identification of contractual risk and opportunity.
Skilled at the preparation and review of claims for extension of time and associated loss and expense, with ability to read and interpret P6 programmes; and
Knowledge of, and exposure to, the arbitration process.
General Experience
18+ years of experience, preferably with contractors (some experience with claims consultants would be an added advantage).
Degree qualified.
Must be commercial & contractually strong.
Possess strong leadership qualities.
Experience working on civil high-rise/building and villa projects within the Middle East (preferably UAE).
Must have worked within the GCC.
Experience managing multiple projects of AED 750m Dirhams and above.
Excellent command of the English language (Written & Oral).
Ability to multitask and work within a high-pressure environment.
