Job description

The Commercial Head - Retail Sales will be responsible for establishing, developing and executing his/her channels by managing the team & setting sales goals & strategies.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Maintain and develop channels within the department.
  2. Design and implement sales & merchandising strategies.
  3. Responsible to acquire new accounts for each channel.
  4. Maximize volume and revenue in key assigned channels by utilizing fact-based selling methods, price surveys & competitors’ analysis for each partner/territory.
  5. Work in collaboration with the operations team in reviewing, scrutinizing and developing efficient and effective operational process flow.
  6. Identify market potential to establish new accounts, achieve channel sales volume, revenue and profitability goals.
  7. Maintain, monitor, and regularly evaluate pricing and contracts with customers to provide products and services that meet standards of quality, timeliness and cost.
  8. Conduct regular market visits and build relationships with selected partners/customers.
  9. Provide trade marketing and distribution information and reports on performance and accounts to ensure all relevant company management are fully informed at all times.
  10. Challenge and lead financial/commercial aspects of the business.
  11. Provide positive leadership to the business by living the values and creating and maintaining a work environment that delivers superior performance.
  12. Identify opportunity costs and efficiency opportunities and implement within authority levels.
  13. Deliver the annual budget, business plans and monthly forecast for the business.
  14. Responsible for trade support & collection for each channel.
  15. Provide workers with health and safety environmental information.
  16. Support supervisors in their health and safety environment activities.
  17. Support the HSSE team in closing the NC and violations raised in different audits.

Qualifications & Training

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Experience

5-7 years of experience in a managerial position.

10 years of experience in the FMCG industry.

Knowledge

Domestic & local experience.
