Job Title: Commercial Finance Manager - META

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Commercial Finance Manager for the META region. This permanent position will report to the Finance Director China, India & META.

The primary focus of the role is to assist in providing monthly sales and P&L reporting, budget/forecast preparation as well as supporting ad-hoc projects required to drive growth in the Region.


Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the Sales Team in the Annual Customer negotiation.
  2. Understand channel & customer profitability and support the business in driving the same.
  3. Maintain all legal agreements with list and signed copies (Athletes, Customers, others).
  4. Track customers/distributors inventory reports.
  5. Assist in preparing ROI calculation of Commercial Spends Marketing & Trade spend.
  6. Prepare and maintain various value chains for different channels of trade.
  7. NPD costing and profitability.
  8. Month end closing for the business.
  9. Help the Marketing Team in managing their spends and assessing the ROI.
  10. Control over the overheads of the META entity.

Budget/Forecast:

  1. Manage the Budget/Forecast cycle for META entity.
  2. Coordinate with the commercial and marketing team in the region to get sales forecast details for Budget/Forecast.
  3. Get marketing expenses details with the plan.
  4. Overheads plan and initiatives.
  5. Work with the business to assess risk and opportunities on an ongoing basis.
  6. Ensure all initiatives planned in the Budget are on track.

Customer Trade Spend Management:

  1. Ensure that all claim settlements are completed correctly and on time.
  2. Review all claims received from national distributors/customers for FDM, Specialty and Online Channel.
  3. Periodic reconciliation and no dues process.
  4. Actuals reporting.
  5. Monitor sales order and CPT balance, tracking against Budget/Forecast/Latest Estimate.
  6. Prepare and distribute monthly commercial pack with analysis to the commercial team.
  7. Track monthly actual expenses against budget and variance analysis.
  8. Monthly reconciliation of the legal entity and with the commercial pack, comparing the same with budgets and forecasts.
  9. Work with the EMEA Controls Team to ensure that group provisioning and accounting processes are followed.
  10. Support the business with any local compliance reporting like ESR, Stat Audit, etc.

The Skills You Will Bring:

  1. Qualified Accountant with 7-8 years post-degree experience in MNC CPG or large distribution house experience.
  2. Experience in commercial financial and accounting practice.
  3. Well-developed English language skills (reading/writing and oral) with effective communication skills.
  4. Experience working with SAP financial planning, analysis & reporting tools.
  5. Hands-on operator who rolls up their sleeves to get the job done with little supervision.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and final outcomes.
  7. Sound accounting, reporting, and analytical skills.
  8. Excellent analytical skills; able to identify and solve complex analytical problems and draw conclusions through analysis of data in real time and on demand.
