Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
- Identify market trends, analyze competition, and recommend strategic initiatives to maintain a competitive edge.
- Chartering and Operations Management:
- Oversee chartering activities, negotiations, and contracts to ensure optimal vessel utilization and revenue generation.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to streamline operations, minimize downtime, and enhance vessel efficiency.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking opportunities to expand the client base.
- Address client concerns, negotiate agreements, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Risk Management:
- Evaluate market risks, fluctuations, and potential disruptions to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Implement measures to enhance the resilience of the commercial operations against market uncertainties.
- Financial Performance Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights to support decision-making processes.
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven track record in a senior commercial role within the dry bulk shipping industry.
- Strong understanding of technical aspects related to dry bulk vessel management.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to make informed decisions in a rapidly changing environment.
