The role:

The Commercial Content Editor will play a pivotal role in delivering a high-profile, multi-year marketing and communications campaign for a landmark mixed-use real estate development in the GCC. This initiative focuses on creating high-quality, engaging, and commercially effective content that resonates with construction, investment, and supply chain stakeholders. The role requires developing thought leadership articles, reports, social media posts, and campaign assets while collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment with objectives.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Content Creation and Editing:
    • Create, edit, and optimize various types of content, including articles, reports, interviews, soundbites, social media posts, and event-related materials.
    • Develop high-quality thought leadership pieces and campaign assets tailored to specific target audiences.
    • Research, write, and edit main articles, executive summaries, and supporting materials for content campaigns.
    • Ensure all content is politically and commercially unbiased, accurate, and aligned with brand guidelines.
    • Minimize reliance on freelance writers and maintain profitability across projects.
  2. Client Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their marketing and branding objectives.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for content-related inquiries, ensuring client satisfaction and timely delivery of projects.
    • Present content strategies and updates during client meetings and adapt plans based on client feedback.
  3. Project Coordination:
    • Work with internal teams to plan and execute content deliverables, aligning with project deadlines and campaign goals.
    • Coordinate the commissioning of freelance writers, providing briefs and overseeing quality control.
    • Manage project documentation, including timelines, approvals, and client feedback.
  4. Event Support:
    • Support event concept development by preparing synopses, identifying relevant content opportunities, and assisting with planning.
    • Write pre-event materials, session descriptions, and post-event reports to maximize campaign impact.
    • Work with event producers to align content with broader campaign objectives.
  5. Marketing Optimization:
    • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to ensure content is visually engaging and aligned with branding guidelines.
    • Monitor performance metrics for published content and use insights to optimize ongoing and future campaigns.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, SEO best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance content strategies.

What we’re looking for:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in content creation and editing, preferably within marketing solutions or B2B media.

Skills and competencies:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
  • Strong understanding of commercial objectives and the ability to translate them into engaging content.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices, content management systems, and digital analytics tools.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external clients.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to changing priorities and market dynamics.

Technical skills:

  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and project management tools.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms.
