Commercial and Contracts Manager

They are are a boutique, RIBA Chartered architectural practice dedicated to meaningful, culturally-focused architecture. We seek a Commercial and Contracts Manager to be part of a collaborative, design-led environment and drive financial and contractual success across our projects.

Role Overview:

The Commercial and Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all contract administration, procurement, and financial aspects of our architectural projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of contract management within the design and construction industry

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer contracts (FIDIC and design/supervision agreements), ensuring compliance.
• Oversee procurement and supply chain management, including consultant and supplier contracts.
• Manage bid proposals, RFP responses, and procurement processes.
• Manage variations and lead contract negotiations with clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Identify and mitigate contractual, financial, and operational risks in architectural projects.
• Utilize contract management and project software (e.g., Aconex, Microsoft Project).

• Strong bid writing, procurement, and financial acumen.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors/Masters in Construction Law, Quantity Surveying, Business, Architecture or Engineering.
• 10+ years experience in contract/commercial management in architecture.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC and contract frameworks.
• Proficiency in contract/project management software.
• Experience in similar role within architectural/ engineering companies
• UAE experience is preferred.
