Collections Officer - Rental

Job Description:

- Payment Collection:

• Follow up with tenants for timely rental payments as per lease agreements.
• Issue reminders and notices for overdue payments and coordinate collection efforts.
• Ensure accurate posting of payments in the accounting system.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants regarding rent payment inquiries and issues.
• Address tenant concerns related to payment terms, delays, or disputes in a professional manner.

- Record Management:

• Maintain and update records of tenant payments, outstanding dues, and related documentation.
• Prepare reports on collection status, overdue accounts, and recovery progress.

- Compliance and Legal Action:

• Collaborate with the legal team to initiate legal action on defaulted accounts, if necessary.
• Ensure all collection practices comply with UAE tenancy laws and company policies.
• Work closely with the leasing and accounts teams to monitor tenant payment trends.
• Coordinate with the customer service team to resolve tenant issues promptly.

- Reporting and MIS for Management:

• Prepare detailed collection reports, highlighting overdue accounts, recovery progress, and risk assessments.
• Generate and analyze MIS reports to provide insights on collection trends and areas for improvement.
• Present periodic reports and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.

• Knowledge of UAE rental laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in rental collections, preferably in the real estate industry in the UAE.
• Familiarity with real estate leasing processes and tenant management.
