Cloud Operations Engineer

MBR Partners is seeking a Cloud Ops Engineer for a leading client based in the UAE, the role is remote.

Key Performance Indicators / Key responsibilities and deliverables:

1. Infrastructure DevOps: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
2. Overall responsibility: Responsible for implementation, testing and operation of HW/SW components of NFV
3. Orchestration and automation of all software and configurations development lifecycle processes
4. Automated event recovery, monitoring and anomaly detection.

Detailed job description, responsibilities:

1. Responsible for implementation, testing and operation of HW/SW components of NFV
2. Maintains best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
3. Maintains a strong working knowledge of all industry standards and practices as well as the company's products and services
4. Communication and cooperation with 3rd parties/ vendors
5. Participates on solving and eliminating of ops issues (incl. Ticket escalations)
6. Responsible for preparation and administration of the technical documentation.

Experience & Qualifications:

1. Several years of experience in system administration or cloud operations
2. Hands On Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHCE)
3. Hands on experience with Continuous delivery tools (GIT, Jenkins, or Ansible)
4. Hands on experience with cloud/NFV technologies on Openstack platform
5. Work Experience with Openshift will be a plus
6. Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
7. Good understanding of ETSI NFV architecture, building blocks and functionalities
8. Good understanding of monitoring solutions (Prometheus or Zabbix) is a plus
9. General knowledge of network protocols (Open SDN experience is a plus)
10. Experience implementing/supporting Kubernetes is a plus.
