Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Client Relationship Officer will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with clients in the life sciences, cold chain, and pharmaceutical logistics sectors. This role focuses on ensuring client satisfaction, addressing client needs, and supporting business growth through excellent customer service.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1- Client Relationship Management:

  1. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients in the life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and cold chain logistics sectors.
  2. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  3. Understand client requirements and provide tailored logistics solutions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDP, SFDA).
  4. Conduct regular client meetings and reviews to assess service delivery and identify opportunities for improvement.

2- Business Support and Sales Assistance:

  1. Assist the sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the life sciences and pharmaceutical markets.
  2. Support the development and implementation of strategies to grow existing businesses and increase market share.
  3. Monitor sales activities and performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management on progress toward sales goals.
  4. Ensure that sales efforts are aligned with client needs and company objectives.

3- Budget and Collections Management:

  1. Assist in monitoring the regional budget, ensuring that sales performance aligns with company targets and financial objectives.
  2. Responsible for the collections process, working with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate billing and payment from clients.
  3. Help implement strategies to improve collections and reduce outstanding receivables, addressing any payment issues promptly.

4- Market Research and Competitive Analysis:

  1. Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in the life sciences, cold chain, and pharmaceutical logistics sectors.
  2. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to enhance service offerings and strengthen the company's market position.
  3. Conduct regular market analysis to identify new opportunities and potential risks, adjusting strategies as needed.

5- Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  1. Work closely with operations, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with client expectations.
  2. Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to address any operational challenges and ensure the integrity of cold chain and temperature-sensitive services.
  3. Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials that support client engagement and business growth.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics (Life Sciences, or a related field is a plus) (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  2. Entry-level experience in client relationship management, sales, or account management.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Proficient in CRM software and sales management tools (e.g., MS Office, Power BI, CRM).
  7. Strong financial acumen, with experience in collections processes.
  8. Ability to travel frequently within the region as needed.
