Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Client Relationship Manager for our Events Team at Global Wealth Conference (GWC) Events. This individual will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders such as Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs), Single Family Offices (SFOs), government entities, speakers, attendees, sponsors, and members to ensure the success and growth of our events.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the finance and investment sector, with a strong understanding of the importance of relationship-building in this highly specialized industry. As the Client Relationship Manager, you will play a critical role in the planning, execution, and follow-through of each event, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction from all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with SWFs, SFOs, government officials, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
Serve as the main point of contact for all clients, ensuring their needs are met before, during, and after the events.
Foster trust and long-term relationships that lead to repeat participation and attendance at events (as guests, speakers, sponsors, and members). - Event Coordination & Execution:
Oversee all aspects of event management from start to finish, including coordination of speakers, attendees, sponsors, and logistics.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless event planning and delivery, ensuring high-quality experiences for all participants.
Get involved in every process, from planning and organizing to execution, as the team consists of relatively junior members (2-3 years of event experience). Provide mentorship and guidance to team members. - Relationship Building with Key Stakeholders:
Directly work with key clients such as SWFs, SFOs, and government entities to ensure their participation in events.
Actively cultivate and nurture relationships to ensure attendance, sponsorships, and speaker participation, understanding that these relationships drive the success of the events.
Provide strategic insights to senior leadership based on feedback and relationship trends in the industry. - Sales Support & Pitching:
Work alongside the sales team to identify sales opportunities and assist in pitching SWFI to potential sponsors.
Help train and mentor team members on how to identify and pitch sales opportunities, focusing on relationship-driven strategies.
Support the development of sales collateral and presentations for sponsors and partners. - Event Analysis & Reporting:
Measure and track the effectiveness of events, gathering feedback from attendees, sponsors, and partners to improve future events.
Regularly report on event outcomes, including attendance, sponsorship conversions, and any areas for improvement. - Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, particularly in the finance and investment sectors, to enhance the value proposition for event participants.
Identify and implement improvements in event execution, client engagement, and relationship-building techniques.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
At least 3+ years of experience in event management, particularly in the finance/investment sector.
Proven track record of successful client relationship management, particularly with high-net-worth individuals, SWFs, SFOs, or government entities.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple aspects of events, from planning to execution. - Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Experience in sales or business development, especially in a relationship-driven environment.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently without much direct supervision. - Additional Requirements:
Must be comfortable working hands-on with all aspects of event management and client engagement, as there is limited senior support.
Experience working in a team of relatively junior staff (2-3 years of event experience), providing guidance and support.
Knowledge of the finance/investment sectors, including an understanding of how relationships with financial institutions can drive event success.
