JOB OBJECTIVES:
Receive and act on general guidance, objectives, and specific work assignments from the Civil and Structure Engineering Manager.
Act as the technical authority and focal point for civil and structure engineering issues within the project.
Coordinate among the design team, including PMC/PMT's civil and structure engineering professionals.
Lead the civil and structure engineering team to complete the relevant design independently with sufficient technical level and coordination ability.
Be adept at communicating and coordinating, ready to function as the alternate to the Civil and Structure Engineering Manager in their absence during the engineering and procurement stages.
Take responsibility for civil and structure engineering throughout the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning stages.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Receive and act on work arrangements and, in conjunction with the Civil and Structure Chief Engineer, assign priorities.
Prepare Design Basis, Specifications, Standard Drawings and related overall documents, guide all the civil and structure design.
Lead the civil and structure team to complete the approval of all design documents (conceptual designs, detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, etc.).
Review and ensure the completeness and coherence of civil designs, including site grading, wall, gate, foundation design, concrete structural, steel structure and steel module and etc.. Including the analysis of lifting and transportation for steel structure modules.
Identify potential errors, omissions, or risks in the design basis and input data from vendor and participate in the preparation of design modifications.
Identify problems requiring the involvement of the Civil and Structure Chief Engineer, define, and organize necessary discussions.
Review civil and structure designs , make recommendations for improvement, particularly in the areas of safety, cost efficiency and constructability.
Attend/Chair all design review events with the Project Management team and PMC/PMT.
Maintain quality control of the civil and structure engineering team, ensuring compliance with Eurocode, American codes, international cods, local codes, regulations and project specifications.
Support project control in preparing plans and schedules, including resource allocation and milestone tracking.
Analyze and/or review the Civil and Structure discipline progress reports against the schedule and inform of any foreseeable delays.
Chair technical workshops and technical reviewing meetings with PMC/PMT, focusing on solutions for complex civil and structure engineering challenges.
Coordinate with PMC and EPC Contractors in reviewing issues and closing all technical comments with the PMT/PMC team.
Prepare procurement documents (Material Requisition, TBE, MTO and etc.), responsible for reviewing equipment vendor documents.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil and Structure Engineering or a related field. Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in Civil and Structure Design Project Engineering, including five (5) years' experience as a Lead in civil and structure engineering at the EPC phase.
Not less than two GPP design experience in DD phase, at least one Total Energies GPP design experience in DD phase in Middle East region.
Extensive familiarity with applicable standards (Total Energies Company standards, Eurocode, ACI, AISC, ASTM, PIP, ISO standards, and local civil and structure codes).
Proficiency with civil and structure engineering design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, Foundation 3D and Mat 3D etc.).
Extensive knowledge of civil and structure engineering practices, including but not limited to, structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, and construction management.
Extensive experience in the design and supervision of infrastructure projects such as nature gas/petrochemical project building, structure and foundation.
Extensive experience in site design such as site preparation,site grading,drainage,roads etc.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and the ability to incorporate sustainable design practices.
Strong team membership and willingness to support the section with additional task requests as necessary.

Excellent English interpersonal, written, and communication skills. International project engineering experience is mandatory.
Ability to obtain and maintain professional engineering licensure where required by law.
