Civil/Structural Engineer (RCS)

Stantec is currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team and support a construction supervision project in Ras Al Khaimah.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring the structural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
2. Reviewing, approving and processing all structural technical submittals.
3. Answering RFIs related to Structure and Architecture.
4. Assisting in supervising the work of all structural activities and operations, maintaining progress records and reporting.
5. Reviewing contractors' structural change order proposals and preparing recommendations to Structural PM.
6. Liaison with the necessary sub consultants.
7. Reviewing contractors' claims related to structural works and preparing recommendations for claims.
8. Reviewing the contractors' project record documents relevant to their discipline.
9. Assisting with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the structural works.
10. Signing off on completed structural works with completed documentation and maintaining the required record.
11. Performing all other duties assigned by the Resident Engineer.

Qualifications and Preferred Specifications:

1. Minimum 10 years experience in Civil/Structural engineering with international consultant firms and with five (5) years in the UAE/Middle East.
2. Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
4. Excellent HSE knowledge and awareness.
5. Excellent local authority knowledge and experience.
6. Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solutions.
