Responsible for the design of underground networks (storm water, sanitary water, oily water, etc.)
Ensure that all assigned activities are carried out within the stipulated man-hour budgets and time schedules
Assist in the preparation of project-related standards and job notes on assigned projects
Perform engineering design calculations and prepare design sketches as required on assigned projects
Review, comment on, and approve drawings related to the field of activity
Review and comment on supplier and other discipline drawings
Assist in the preparation of contract requisitions and schedules of quantity for underground utilities work on assigned projects
Perform such duties as may reasonably be assigned by the lead or supervising Civil Engineer
Perform all assigned work to agreed standards for safety, health, and environment, demonstrating a commitment to attaining high levels of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) performance
Participate in and advise on all design activities and initiatives, including provision of training/inductions and documentation review
Verify that all designs meet required standards, that project objectives are met, and that the work is completed to the agreed schedule
Qualifications
BS in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 5 years' industrial experience
Membership of a professional body and Chartered Engineer is highly desired, including a demonstration of ongoing commitment to that body through Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
Considerable experience in Civil Engineering, especially in the Oil and Gas industry
Experience in EPC organizations in the field of Engineering Design / FEED projects in all aspects of Civil and Structural activities
Familiarity with terminology used and adopted in the Oil and Gas business
A range of technical abilities, from the use of engineering and design software such as STAADPro / GTSTRUDL, to understanding topographical, geophysical, and geotechnical issues
