Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Coordination:
   • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
   • Assist in project planning, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
2. Site Preparation and Setup:
   • Ensure the construction site is prepared and set up correctly, including site clearance, excavation, and safety measures.
   • Coordinate with surveyors to establish site benchmarks and layout.
3. Supervision and Management:
   • Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, including the work of subcontractors, laborers, and equipment operators.
   • Ensure work is executed in accordance with project plans and specifications.
4. Quality Control:
   • Monitor and maintain the quality of work, materials, and equipment to ensure they meet specified standards.
   • Implement quality control measures and inspections as necessary.
5. Safety and Compliance:
   • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
   • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and permits.
6. Progress Tracking:
   • Track and report on the progress of construction work to project managers or superiors.
   • Identify and address delays, issues, and deviations from the project plan.
7. Cost Management:
   • Monitor project expenses and costs, ensuring that the project stays within the allocated budget.
   • Provide input into cost estimation and cost control processes.
8. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate project records, including drawings, plans, reports, and change orders.
   • Prepare progress reports, documentation for compliance, and record-keeping.
9. Problem Solving:
   • Address technical and logistical challenges that arise during construction and provide practical solutions.
   • Collaborate with the project team to resolve issues.
10. Communication:
    • Maintain effective communication with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and government authorities.
    • Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to all involved parties.
11. Handover and Closeout:
    • Participate in project handover and final inspections to ensure that all work is completed as per specifications.
    • Ensure that the project is ready for occupancy or use.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in construction or civil engineering projects.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and project management principles.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Safety certifications and training are a plus.
