Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with relevant discipline from recognized university
Master’s degree in relevant discipline will be an added advantage
Essential Knowledge / Experience (Skills):
6 - 10 years of Oil & Gas Design Experience.
Advantage Previous experience in Region
Technical Knowledge And Skills (Discipline Specific)
Knowledge of basic engineering processes
Familiarity with international codes, standards and engineering practices
Must be familiar with all aspects of design from concept to detailed design
Technical analysis of engineering problems
Must possess a strong technical background in the design of petroleum refineries, process plants, onshore and offshore pipelines and crude oil tank farms.
Must have experience in the preparation of scope of works, civil design basis, civil specifications, architectural plans, sections, elevations and drawings.
Must be able to generate detailed calculations and drawings for all civil and RC / steel structures.
Ability to review vendor documentation, civil specifications, geotechnical and topographical reports.
Must have the ability to prepare engineering deliverables as per company technical competency standard
Building design (blast resistant substation)
Compressor/pump design i.e. dynamic foundation design
Overview of Underground drainage like AOC, COC etc.

Design and Planning
Design and plan civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, water systems, and drainage systems.
Prepare detailed designs and drawings using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit) and engineering calculations.
Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys to assess the practicality and environmental impact of proposed projects.
Develop cost estimates, timelines, and resource requirements for construction projects.
Construction Management
Oversee the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with design specifications.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams to manage daily operations, materials, and equipment.
Monitor construction progress, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and building codes.
Resolve construction issues, delays, and unexpected problems that may arise during the project.
Site Inspection and Supervision
Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with engineering designs, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Supervise fieldwork, ensuring that construction processes meet the required specifications and standards.
Perform quality control and assurance checks on materials and construction methods, ensuring safety and structural integrity.
Geotechnical and Structural Analysis
Conduct geotechnical investigations to assess soil properties and site conditions for building foundations.
Perform structural analysis, ensuring the stability and safety of structures like bridges, buildings, dams, and tunnels.
Design foundations, retaining walls, and other structural elements based on soil data and load requirements.
Environmental Impact and Sustainability
Evaluate the environmental impact of construction projects and design systems to reduce ecological effects.
Develop strategies for water management, waste disposal, and pollution control, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Promote sustainability in civil engineering practices by implementing green building methods, renewable energy solutions, and environmentally friendly designs.
Cost and Budget Management
Prepare detailed project cost estimates, monitor spending, and ensure that construction projects stay within budget.
Track and report on project expenses, ensuring that any cost overruns are addressed promptly.
Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure cost-effective materials and services for construction projects.
