Required: Structural & Architectural Civil Draftsman to work in a contracting company – Abu Dhabi

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural & Architectural Civil Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and high-quality technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for structural and architectural projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements and adhere to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed structural and architectural drawings, layouts, and blueprints using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
2. Translate sketches, specifications, and calculations provided by engineers and architects into precise technical drawings.
3. Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and company guidelines.
4. Update and maintain a library of design documents, including as-built drawings and revisions.
5. Perform site visits when required to verify measurements and gather additional data.
6. Maintain documentation of drawings and project specifications for future reference.

Requirements

1. Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Drafting, or related field.
2. Proficiency in drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and related software.
3. Strong understanding of structural and architectural design principles and construction practices.
4. Ability to interpret and produce detailed drawings and plans based on rough sketches and specifications.
5. Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
6. Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently.
7. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience working on large-scale projects, such as commercial buildings or residential developments.
2. Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes.
3. Understanding of construction materials and their application in design.
